Hope-spark LTD

This past week, the STEMming Up Girl Child team, sponsored by HopeSpark, visited Changali CDSS and Chimwala CDSS in rural Mangochi to inspire girls to pursue and excel in STEM subjects.

The outreach team was made up of female biomedical and electrical engineers from Mangochi District Hospital, who shared their personal journeys and encouraged the students to see themselves in science and technology careers.

This engagement comes at a crucial time when many girls are still underrepresented in STEM fields. By connecting them with real-life role models from their own community, the initiative aims to build confidence, spark curiosity, and motivate more young girls to consider future careers in science, engineering, and innovation.
